Michael Bisping is never shy to give his opinion, and even managed to give two completely contrasting opinions on the Conor McGregor phone smashing incident.
McGregor was arrested in Miami for allegedly snatching a fan’s phone and stamping on it when he tried to take a picture of the UFC star.
The Irishman has been charged with robbery and criminal mischief and released a statement saying he must work on his patience.
Former UFC middleweight champion Bisping initially came down on the side of McGregor, but quickly changed his mind.
‘I’ll just say it, this guy is a bit of a f*****g d**k to press charges,’ Bisping said on his ‘Believe You Me’ podcast.
‘Well saying that though, hold on. I just got myself a nice new iPhone 10 XR or some s**t. It’s big, it’s bigger than the plus. It’s the big old fancy phone and I really, really like it.
‘But let’s just say you’ve been out there and bought that and you didn’t have much money and somebody took your phone and smashed it to bits, okay fare enough. You’re not just going to take that, are you?’
In April last year Bisping commented on McGregor’s attack of the UFC bus which contained future opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov.
‘When you look at the situation and you look at Conor McGregor, here’s a guy who quite literally has the world at his feet,’ the Englishman said on his podcast.
‘He’s got untold wealth. He’s absolutely f*****g loaded. He could never work another day in his life and he’d live a very, very extravagant lifestyle.
‘He’s got every reason to go through this life happy. Happy, with a smile on his face.
‘Just lose the chip, that would be my advice. Just lose the f*****g chip on the shoulder.’
